Salvage Terms and Services

Lads Motors agrees to perform a salvage inspection on the vehicle. The customer acknowledges and agrees to the terms outlined below and confirms that the vehicle will comply with all applicable Michigan salvage title laws and requirements.

Initial Deposit


A $300 deposit is required prior to the scheduled inspection. This deposit becomes a non-refundable cancellation fee if the appointment is missed but will be applied to the inspection fee if the customer attends.

Fees


- Salvage Vehicle Inspection: Up to $100.00 (per State of Michigan regulations)
- Mechanic Inspection: $100.00
- Paperwork: $100.00
- Additional Fees: $100 for engine or transmission replacement
- Hoist Fee: $40 for vehicles requiring a hoist
- Additional Vehicle Types:
  - Recreational Trailer: $100
  - Motorcycle: $200 (service may be unavailable)
  - Semi Truck: $100
- Failed Inspection Recheck Policy: $300 reinspection fee (applies to both failed and passed re-inspections)
- Reinspection Admin Fee: $100 paperwork fee
- Variable Mechanic Inspection Cost: Up to $500 depending on repairs required

Legal Terms


Acknowledgment of Responsibility:
The customer agrees that Lads Motors and its inspectors/mechanics are not responsible for any current or future mechanical or safety-related issues with the vehicle, even if issues are discovered during or after the inspection.

Waiver of Legal Action:
The customer waives any right to bring legal claims against Lads Motors or its agents for any loss, damages, defects, or delays related to the vehicle while in possession of Lads Motors or during the inspection process.

Indemnification:
The customer agrees to indemnify and hold Lads Motors and its employees harmless from any claims, losses, or liabilities related to the vehicle’s condition, ownership status, or handling during the inspection.

Governing Law:
This Agreement is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Michigan, including all applicable Michigan salvage vehicle regulations.

Consent to Sign on Behalf:
The customer grants Lads Motors LLC, located at 1270 Rankin Dr STE B, Troy, MI 48083, the right to sign and submit documents (e.g., TR-13A) on their behalf.

Additional Terms


Photo & Documentation Consent:
The customer consents to Lads Motors taking photos and making copies of the vehicle, documents, and repairs for inspection and legal documentation purposes.

Use of Uploaded Documents:
All documents submitted to Lads Motors may be used, stored, or shared as part of the inspection and state filing process. The customer agrees that submitted documents are not protected by copyright and may be reproduced or distributed as needed for business or compliance purposes.

Use of Contact Information:
By submitting your information, you authorize Lads Motors to contact you via phone, text, or email, including for follow-ups, reminders, or promotional purposes.

Media Consent for Marketing & Education:
The customer gives Lads Motors permission to record, photograph, and publish video content of their vehicle and inspection process for use in educational or promotional content on platforms such as YouTube, social media, and the Lads Motors website.

No Guarantee of Approval:
Passing this inspection does not guarantee approval by the Michigan Secretary of State (SOS). Final determination is at the discretion of the SOS.

Timeliness Clause:
All required documents must be submitted within 30 days of the inspection request. Delays may result in additional fees or cancellation of the service.

Customer Responsibility for Accuracy:
The customer is solely responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all submitted documents, including invoices and title paperwork.

Right to Refuse Service:
Lads Motors reserves the right to refuse service if the vehicle or documents appear fraudulent, unsafe, or do not meet basic inspection standards.

Refund Policy:
All payments are non-refundable once services have begun, regardless of the inspection outcome or approval status.

Liability Disclaimer


Lads Motors LLC and the inspecting mechanic shall not be held liable for any future vehicle problems, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, or safety issues. The inspection is not a warranty or certification of roadworthiness.

Customer Agreement


By signing and submitting a valid government-issued ID from one of the 50 U.S. states, the customer agrees to all terms outlined above and confirms compliance with Michigan salvage law. The title does not need to be in the customer’s name.

The customer also agrees to receive communications via text message, including appointment updates, document requests, inspection results, and other service-related notifications from Lads Motors.

If the customer is submitting documents or scheduling on behalf of another individual, they confirm that they have been legally authorized by the vehicle owner to act on their behalf and sign any required paperwork as their representative.
